JILL ON KEYS

Jill Conner, known professionally as Jill on Keys, is a Washington, DC native composer, keyboardist, singer-songwriter, and visual music storyteller.

Blending piano, synth textures, cinematic atmosphere, and emotional songwriting, Jill builds creative worlds through music, visual media, and original projects that continue to evolve across multiple artistic lanes. 

A lifelong musician who began writing songs at age 7 and playing by ear at 10, Jill has written and recorded original music for live entertainment, television, and independent creative projects under both Jill on Keys and her full name, Jamila M. Conner.

In addition to her work as a performing artist, Jill is also the creator of the children’s character Grandy the Piano and the Jill on Keys Kids musical storytelling world, combining music, imagination, puppetry, and interactive experiences for young audiences.

Through both music and visuals, Jill continues to explore cinematic storytelling, emotional atmosphere, and creative world-building across multiple generations.

Rooted in a lifelong foundation of faith and church music, Jill on Keys continues to explore new creative frontiers while honoring the spiritual gifts that first shaped her journey. 

From playing in church as a child musician and continuing to share her gifts through church music, Jill has grown into a multidisciplinary artist, exploring original love ballads, cinematic music, children’s entertainment, and visual storytelling while carrying those same values into every creative season.
 

While her creative path continues to grow into new artistic spaces, the spiritual foundation that inspired her love for music remains an enduring part of her story.
